Abstract

The impact of climate change on the human population is continuously draw attention and alarming the future climatic disasters. The Aquaculture is confronted with substantial vulnerabilities due to the climate change. It poses a serious threat to life of the marine species, including coral reefs, fisheries, and impacts on the marine ecosystems. Besides that, majority of the population has lost their livelihood. Especially, who are most depends on aquaculture, at the end it is pressurizing the state economies. Moreover, Sustainable Development Goals-(SDGs) number 12-14, and 17 are discussing about the importance of the marine life. The primary objective of the study is, to understand the climate change and its impacts. Another objective of the paper is, to discuss the development of the aqua culture in India. Final aim of the present study is, to examine the climate change impacts on the socio-economic life of the fishermen communities. The methodology of the present study is, descriptive analysis.
