In the contemporary world of knowledge society, understanding socio-economic, political and psychological dimensions of individual’s life constitutes the major crux and thrust of social science research. At this backdrop, the Journal Asiatic Society for Social Science Research (ASSSR) stands to serve as a mirror to all these conflicting currents of socio-economic, cultural, political and psychological issues affecting human life in the 21st century. The ASSSR is a blind peer reviewed journal. It publishes research writings on humanities and social sciences that seek to explain different aspects of individuals in relation to its society, polity, economy, culture and psychological well-being. Further the journal adopts methodological pluralism and publishes articles based on primary data in the qualitative and quantitative traditions, archival research, interpretations of texts and documents and secondary data. The journal also covers a wide variety of sub-fields in the field of social science research mainly focusing on the conflicting currents of socio-economic, psychological and political aspects of human life in contemporary globalized society of LPG (Liberalization, Privatization and Globalization) era.

Asiatic Society for Social Science Research (ASSSR) is a peer-reviewed journal, correspondence in the field of Social Science. The aim of ASSSR is to publish original and reliable research articles, short communications, review articles in Anthropology, Archaeology, Communication Studies (Media Studies), Cultural Studies, Economics, Environmental Studies, Ethnography, Federal Studies, Finance, History, International Relations, Mathematics, Geography, Jurisprudence (Law), Linguistics, Political Science, Psychology, Public Administration, Public Policy, and Sociology. The journal is published twice every year tentatively during third or fourth week of June and December.

The core area of research interests of our journal is widespread, which encompasses social, economic and political ideas and thoughts, institutions and processes, democracies and politics in a comparative perspective particularly emerging global scenario, India in world affairs and public policies. While our honest endeavor is to make its scope accessible to a large number of readers but attempt has been made to limit its scope by making it target specific for academia, policy planners, administrators, researchers and general readers. ASSSR is a research initiative of a forum mainly engaged in the pursuits of generating new knowledge and analysis in social science based on original research, attempting at catering to the needs of a large number of social scientists engaged in teaching and research at different educational and research institutions across the world. Besides, we also cater to the needs of the members of civil society including journalists, legal professionals, NGO functionaries and policy makers. Above all, ASSSR has been destined to balance the tasks of responding to the immediate and making sense of long term socio-economic and psychological and political trends.
